Therapist in West Palm Beach, FL
Our office isn’t downtown. It’s west of the city, on Lake Worth Road in Wellington, and that turns out to suit a lot of West Palm Beach clients. Some drive out for in-person sessions. Many more meet with us by secure video from home, or from a quiet office between meetings on Clematis Street. Either way, you get a licensed or supervised Florida therapist and a real plan, usually starting within a week.
To begin, contact us or check your insurance. We offer individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy — by telehealth across twelve states, including Florida, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Two Ways to Meet
By secure video, from anywhere in Florida. This is how most West Palm Beach clients see us. There’s no drive on Southern Boulevard or Okeechobee, and no waiting room. You need a private space and to be in Florida at the time of the session. Our page on online therapy in Florida explains how video sessions work.
In person at our Wellington office, 8461 Lake Worth Road, Suite 248, with parking on site. Two of our clinicians see clients there. Yasmyne “Mina” Salhia, MS, RMHCI, works with individuals, couples, families and children ages 11 and up, including trauma and art and play therapy. Kathy Altidor, MS, LMHC, works with families and premarital couples and offers sessions in Haitian Creole. Our Lake Worth Road office page has directions.
What West Palm Beach Clients Come In For
People find us for all kinds of reasons, and often more than one at a time. Here’s where to read more about each:
- Stress, anxiety and burnout, often from demanding jobs: see stress management counseling
- Depression, including the kind that looks like exhaustion: see depression counseling in Florida
- Trauma and PTSD, including EMDR by video: see EMDR therapy in Florida
- Grief and loss: see grief counseling in Florida

- Families working through conflict or change: see family therapy
If your relationship is the main thing on your mind, our page on marriage counseling in West Palm Beach and Lake Worth covers how couples sessions work, in person and by video.
Support for First Responders
Police officers, firefighters, paramedics and dispatchers carry things most people never see, and many put off therapy because they worry about who will find out or whether a counselor will understand the job. Jaime Doss, LMHC, is a Certified First Responder Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with more than 15 years in mental health. She sees first responders, and their partners, by secure video, so there’s no need to be seen walking into a counseling office in the city you serve. Sessions are confidential, and your therapist will explain the limits of confidentiality at the first appointment. Read more on Jaime’s profile.
Therapy in Haitian Creole or Spanish
Palm Beach County is home to one of Florida’s largest Haitian communities, and talking about hard things is often easier in the language you grew up with. Kathy Altidor offers individual and family sessions in Haitian Creole (Kreyòl) and English, in person in Wellington or by video. Jackeline Rodriguez, MSW, RCSWI, sees adults, children and teens in English or Spanish. Tell us which language you’d like when you get in touch, and we’ll book you directly.
Medication Management by Telehealth
When therapy alone isn’t enough, Sima Alavi, DNP, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, offers medication management by telehealth for Florida clients, alongside therapy with our team. For ADHD, she prescribes non-stimulant medications only. Read more on our medication management in Florida page.
Insurance, Cost and Hours
In Florida we’re in network with Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare (including UMR plans), Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tricare, Curative, MultiPlan and Oscar. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. Self-pay is $125 per individual session and $175 for couples or family sessions, each 45 to 50 minutes, and $200 to $250 for an extended 90-minute individual, couples or EMDR session. Self-pay clients can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before starting. You can verify your coverage before your first session. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no set number of sessions.

Can I have a session from my office?
