Dejanai Watson, M.S., LMFTA (NY and CT)
My name is DJ and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) committed to helping individuals learn how to build healthier relationships with oneself and others. I can help you navigate these feelings and create a safer space for change. I believe in utilizing various approaches (Structural, Strategic, Solution, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and many more) to help my clients reach their goals in therapy. I am passionate about my role as a therapist and I believe it is my duty to create a space for my client to express themselves without fear of judgment.
Yvone G. Ao, LCSW (Florida), Gottman Method Couples Therapy
“My name is Yvone Ao, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and Connecticut. I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, and I immediately began working with severe and persistent mental illness diagnoses, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and dual-diagnosis clients. I seek to understand each client as an individual, and in their social systems, and acknowledge the importance of how a person’s culture and upbringing affect one’s coping mechanisms and perception.
I recognize that change can sometimes feel punishing, but I hope to accompany each client in their journey in recognizing that the strength to overcome any hardship has been within them all along. I understand the importance of the language we use to describe ourselves, and aim to partner with each client in revising their internal dialogue to allow for continued growth, healing, and recovery.”
Testimonials
Lisa is such a wonderful and amazing therapist! She’s helped me through many life interfering challenges, that I never thought I’d be able to get past. Thank you for everything!!
Lisa has always been a great help. I have been seeing her for a year now, no matter what financial situation you’re in she will work with you. Lisa is a great therapist & has been a huge positive impact in my life. I highly recommend her to anyone, no matter what situation you have going on she always knows how to help. Thanks Lisa for being a wonderful therapist & always working with my annoying insurance/financial problems ! 🙂
Lisa and the staff at New Reflections are incredible. If there was a 10 star option for reviews I would leave one! She has helped my family and I on so many different aspects. Easy to schedule appointments, convenient location for our family and such a great energy when we walk in the office. I highly recommend Lisa and New Reflections.
My partner and I have been seeing Lisa for over a year and honestly couldn’t imagine where we would be with our relationship without her. As another client had mentioned, Lisa handled all the insurance issues without a problem. I know TriCare is not the easiest insurance to deal with, so when Lisa was recommended to us by a friend we planned on paying for sessions ourselves. Then we learned that she is one of very few in the area that are approved by our insurance. Lisa is truly caring and respectful and I am so happy that we found her!
I cannot even imagine where my life would be without her help. She has been absolutely professional at all times, but still very warm and non-judgmental. No matter how outrageous or animated my thoughts have been, she has been able to calmly and competently help me analyze and think through the best course of action. When I first started to see her, she was not able to take my insurance. She worked with me to find a charge I could afford to pay out of my own pocket. Now she is able to accept my insurance and she has worked with me to assure that it was a smooth transition. I highly recommend Lisa.
I have been seeing Lisa for just over a year and a half. I have seen her for individual counseling and marriage counseling. She and I have worked on several issues individually, we have used EDMR to help alleviate a VERY OLD trauma, my marriage is stronger than it ever has been and to be very blunt, I am still married (almost 32 years) because of Lisa and her skills. Additionally, since I have been seeing Lisa I have decided to go back to school and get my master’s degree. It is with a LOT of encouragement from her that I will be able to achieve this goal. She has made a huge difference in my life. I am in a very good place in my life now and I can definitely attribute my time with Lisa for a good bit of my happiness. Not that she provides it for me, but she instead helps me to see that I am worthy have happiness and that I will be able to achieve my goals as long as I set my mind to it. I continue to see her on a regular basis, sometimes our sessions are just talking about life, sometimes our sessions are about dealing with something I am struggling with at that particular point in time. She asks the tough questions that make me really think and reflect, but she is always there to help me work through the answers. I am a better person because of Lisa! I HIGHLY recommend Lisa and New Reflections Counseling.
Lisa, simply put, is AMAZING! She has saved my marriage, helped me work on an issue that I NEVER thought I would tell anyone, much less actually be able to talk about it with someone else, and listens to me when I have a crazy stressful week at work. She is so down to earth and helps me to be more relaxed by the time we are done with our sessions. She is flexible in her scheduling, she has two offices to make it as easy as possible. She accepts my insurance, but even when she didn’t take my husband’s insurance, she worked with us to get to a cost we could afford on our own. Lisa is easy to connect with on a personal level, she doesn’t get excitable and doesn’t look at me like I am crazy when I am really feeling like I am going crazy. Instead, she helps me look at things from a different perspective; she asks me the hard questions when I need it most and pushes me to grow as a person. There are simply NOT enough kind things to say about Lisa and the wonderful things she does for me in my life, all because she helps me see whatever the problem is from a different side. She helps me change my approach, when necessary, so I can solve whatever problem I have presented her on my own but with new guidance.
Lisa is hands down one of the most caring, knowledgeable people I know. She has definitely helped me through some of the toughest times. She was able to provide feedback for any situation I introduced to her during our meeting times. She’s excellent when it comes to words and breaking things down for a better understanding. I highly recommend her!
Lisa deserves all the accolades she’s received here. She has a way of getting directly to the reason you’ve come to her and then directing you towards resolutions in a very insightful and comfortable way. You get the feeling she was born for this, she’s supportive and makes you feel very comfortable immediately.
I was seeking help with personal and professional issues. I have never been to any kind of counseling in my 55 years on this earth. I felt it was time to seek help for some things I was going through. I stumbled across Lisa by accident through my insurance company and what a Godsend. I never realized what was in store. Lisa helped me and continues to help me become a better me. She has transformed my life professionally, personally and spiritually. I thank God I found her and the relationship we developed. For the first time in my life I see things differently, with an open mind and open heart. She has changed my life and I cannot thank her enough.

Lisa is a fantastic therapist, I highly recommend her and especially EMDR! Without getting too personal I can say she helped me get out of a deep funk, work through traumas big and small, and really helped my marriage. EMDR is by far my favorite therapy! I’m sure experience varies by person but it has profoundly changed my life. You are essentially able to process traumatic events. I can only explain it as being able to bring up a negative memory and simply retrain your brain and body to recall it in a positive light. The results are instantaneous and permanent. An example: I was in a minor car accident and over the years I developed anxiety in the car to the point every trip even as a passenger would trigger an attack, EMDR with Lisa and I kid you not I drove all the way home. Months later I’m still driving without a hint of anxiety if anything I feel more confident and safe now. Bottom line EMDR works and Lisa really knows what she is doing. I started seeing her in 2017 and even though I’m in a great place now I still see her regularly as I always feel better and grow with each visit.

My husband I first started seeing Sarah a little over a year ago for marital counseling. Through our work together, we were able to get to the root of our problems around trust. Sarah’s kind, compassionate and nonjudgemental way of listening allowed us to both feel comfortable opening up. Our communication and marriage have never been better and we can’t thank or recommend Sarah enough!

I went to Sarah Hindes after a bad health diagnosis. I was feeling anxious & hopeless. She helped me deal with the present & what lies ahead for me. I honestly could no have gotten through all the treatment without having her to talk to. She is an excellent listener & must have an amazing memory because she remembered everything I talked about (without notes). I would certainly recommend her. I believe there are so many people out there who could benefit by her easy, wise way.
